Today is Kyndall's very first day of school for the 2014/2015 school year and we have all been anxiously awaiting this day since the end of May when school was out for summer! We've enjoyed having a laid back couple of months but our family thrives on routine so this day has been a long time coming.
Kyndall will be attending Parents' Day Out at our church again this year, which is two days a week from 9:00 until 2:30. It's the perfect balance to give her enough social and intellectual stimulation that she doesn't get bored, but it's not so over the top that we're all worn out by the end of the week. We've been very happy with it ever since we moved to Jackson so I'm sure we will stick with it until she starts Kindergarten.
A few pictures from this morning.....
And of course a comparison from this time last year.....
This week we've enjoyed a few final days together before bidding farewell to summer. We made a trip to the store for her to choose a new pony toy which seems to be the highlight of her life these days. Her favorite thing to choose are the "pony surprises" as she calls them. They're little foil envelopes with a mystery pony inside and you don't know which one you're getting until you've bought it. It's a cheap thrill and I love how excited she gets over it. Look at the anticipation on her face as she opens up her choice.......
Her collection is growing.....
We also made one final trip to the park, complete with a "Chick-A-Fay" picnic.......

And one final stop to have Mommy's labs drawn by our friend Mr. Ron at Lab Corp.....
I am anxious to pick her up this afternoon and find out how her first day went. She was excited to have Ms. Cindy as her teacher so I think it will be another great year! Next week we start back up with dance class so we will finally be back to our full routine and this Mama is happy about that!
UPDATE.......A video I took after picking her up from school just now.....
I don't want to break your heart, since I feel the same way about Isabel, but somehow Kyndall looks SO MUCH OLDER!!! Where did our 2010 babies go? She is adorable! I am sure she had an awesome first day!!! And once that liver is in place and functioning we HAVE to meet at Disney for a little bit! I just know that our girls will like each other!
