Here I am playing catch up again, posting about Kyndall's dance recital which happened in JUNE and it's now the end of September. Forgive me, blogging world for I have been one busy Mama! Nevertheless, I plan to catch myself up on all things summer 2017 in the near future because the Fall is already shaping up to be just as crazy busy as the summer was.
Step back in time with me to the very first weekend in June. Kindergarten had been finished a couple weeks prior and it was now officially summer and Kyndall's big dance recital weekend had arrived. Nonie and Grammy flew in for a long weekend but sadly work obligations held Poppie and G-Daddy back from making the trip.
We did lots of fun things during their stay, one of which was to take them into downtown Dallas at night and let them see the sights.
This is now on Kyndall's bucket list...
Recital day arrived and Kyndall looked beautiful as always. This was her fifth dance recital since she first started taking dance in 2013 when she was just three years old.
Besties!
Gorgeous roses from Grammy and Nonie
We spent the rest of our weekend shopping, eating and just enjoying the family time.
Kyndall left with Grammy and Nonie that weekend and headed back to Florida. I would follow by car a few days later and Kyndall and I would spent the next two weeks back home with our families in Georgia and Florida.
Funny--When I was packing Kyndall's bag for the plane ride I stuck two cards in her backpack from me and Matthew telling her all kinds of sweet things like how much we would miss her and how proud we are of her. My Mom sent me this picture of her when she opened them. Clearly, she expects all cards to be filled with MONEY! Little brat.
When you travel with Grandparents you get whatever you ask for, including chocolate donuts for breakfast in the airport.
I stayed home for the next few days before making the drive from Dallas to Tallahassee. I missed Kyndall and the house seemed SO quiet without her there. Her recital flowers just got more and more beautiful by the day and I wish she could have seen them.
