The Final Chapter

For eleven years this blog has served as a way for me to share our family's stories, photos, videos and memories with anyone who wanted a peek into our everyday lives. It has provided a space for me to document everything from our ordinary day to day activities to our greatest triumphs and our most difficult struggles. However, my sole purpose for beginning this blog was so that someday when I am long gone, Kyndall will have a priceless collection of childhood memories to reflect back on. I have poured countless hours into making it something special and I truly hope that it is something she will always treasure. Each year Matthew has it printed into hardback books which I will pass down to her when the time is right.

As much as I have enjoyed authoring the story of our lives, it feels like it's time to close this chapter and move on. When I made the decision to start writing this blog Kyndall was an infant and I was a lonely, bored stay at home mom with lots of free time on my hands. That was such a sweet season of our lives when time seemed to move more slowly and things were just more simple. Now, 11 years later, our lives are busier than they've ever been and I simply no longer have the abundance of time it takes to keep this blog going and up to date. As sad as it makes me to officially close out this chapter, I am proud of the hard work and time I put into creating something that will provide Kyndall a glimpse into the first 11 years of her childhood. I hope that she will share these pictures and memories with her own children and grandchildren someday and tell them how important this blog was to me. More importantly, I hope that as she reads each entry and looks at each photograph she is reminded of just how loved and adored she is...So much so that I wanted to bottle up each and every memory for safe keeping within the pages of this storybook.

I love you so much, Kyndall Anne Hughes! Being your Mother is the greatest joy of my life and I am so proud of you!
