October Overload!!!

Wow, where do I start??  Matthew had to go out of town on a business trip last week, so Kyndall and I decided to make a trip down to visit the Grandparents while he was gone.  We arrived at Matthew's parents' house in Thomasville last Saturday (October 22nd) and we have been busy busy busy ever since!!  Our trip isn't even over yet, and I already have a LOT of pictures to share.  So I'll try to let the photos speak for themselves, and keep the words to a minimum......

We stayed at Nonie and Poppie's house for almost a week, and during that time we did lots of fun things, like......
Got dressed up for a mini fall photo shoot....

Played in the new walker that Nonie and Poppie bought......

Drinkin' and drivin'

We strolled through downtown Thomasville and had lunch at the coffee shop......

While we were downtown, I took Kyndall over to the bridal shop where I spent many-a-day preparing for our wedding!

We ate popsicles in the bathtub.......

And wore our new warm jammies.....

And we enjoyed playing with Poppie each night when he got home from work.....

A few weeks ago, Matthew's parents decided to fix up Matthew's old toy box for Kyndall to use.  Here she is posing on her Daddy's toy box......

And I had to include this one too, because I just thought it was cute!  =)

Last Wednesday night, we went to the "Hallelujah" party at Nonie and Poppie's church.  Kyndall had two Halloween outfits, so we decided to dress her in her fairy costume that night.

We met up with Kyndall's buddy Eli, who was dressed as a monkey!

Kyndall couldn't stop starring at the Bible characters with their unusually long hair!

We love Mrs. Laura!  (Side note---Mrs. Laura is the one who introduced me to Matthew!)

 Sweetness!!!

Thursday afternoon, Kyndall and I packed up and left Thomasville for Tallahassee.  Grammy and G-Daddy put up a swing for Kyndall and she tried it out as soon as we got there.  To say that she loved it would be an understatement!

That night, I went to dinner with my girlfriends, while Grammy, G-Daddy, Aunt Kelly and Michael took Kyndall to visit the pumpkin patch.......

I took Kyndall out to Broadview Assisted Living to visit my Grandmother (MeMe) and we took her a little Halloween treat......

On Friday night, my sister and I took Kyndall to her very first Downtown Get-Down.  I've been wanting to make it to a DTGD for a while, but since they only fall on weekends of a home game, it hasn't worked out.  I'm so glad I was finally able to take Kyndall---she really enjoyed it!

Waiting for her balloon.....

While we were walking around, we ran into our friend Jenna and her family.  I was SO excited to finally meet sweet Miss Madyson!  She is so precious!

The main reason I wanted to go was to see my sweet friends that I used to clog with.  I REALLY miss practicing and performing with the Mountain Dew cloggers, so it was great to see them and catch up!!  Here's Kyndall with my sweet friend Cricket, just after they danced their Halloween show!

As if we hadn't already packed in enough fun for one night, once the DTGD was over, we went to the ball field to watch Aunt Kelly play softball......

Saturday, we ventured over to the big city of Two Egg, FL to visit my Grandma and Granddaddy.  We had a nice visit, and then they treated us to a yummy dinner at The Oaks.

Kyndall got her very first taste of fresh satsuma from Granddaddy's tree and she LOVED it!!!!  Take a look......

Grandma and her baby, Chloe

When I was about 6 years old, Santa Clause brought all of the Granddaughters a swing set for Christmas.  I still remember walking outside on Christmas morning with my cousin Katie and finding it.  We loved that swing set, and it went on to provide countless hours of entertainment for all of us for many years to come.  If that swing set could talk, oh the stories it would tell!!  Not long ago, Granddaddy fixed it up so that the Great-Grandchildren can enjoy it as well.  As I put Kyndall on it for the first time, there was something special about seeing the joy it brings, now through her eyes.

Kyndall got really sleepy towards the end of the afternoon, so I let her lay down on my Grandma's couch.  She never did fall asleep, but she did want to hold Grammy's hand while she rested.  How sweet!!!

Dinner at The Oaks.....

We always look forward to Sundays with my family, because we get to attend church at my "home" church, Morningside Baptist.  It's one of the things I miss most about Tallahassee.

In between all of this fun stuff, I sat down and made a few fall crafts.  Can you guess what these pumpkins are made out of?

If you guessed a dryer vent, you were right!  =)  Super easy and really cute!  I also made my Mom and Matthew's Mom each a fall  wreath.......

It always amazes me how babies find entertainment in the smallest, most simple things.  Kyndall has more toys than you can imagine at my parents' house, yet this is all she wants to do.........

Open, close, open, close, open, close......ALL...  DAY...  LONG...

Sunday afternoon, Kelly and Michael came over and we had a family fish fry and pumpkin carving night.  I was hoping Kyndall would for once, get really messy and play in the pumpkin guts.  But no, prissy wanted nothing to do with the gooey mess.  What can I say, she really is MY child!!!

 Kelly's masterpiece.....

Monday night was Halloween and I had been looking forward to it all week!  We dressed Kyndall up and took her to Morningside's trunk-or-treat.  We met up with my friend Betsy and her two boys, as well as Betsy's sister-in-law and her daughter, Julia.

Kyndall's costume was a big hit!  I was so proud of her for leaving her "stem" on her head all night!  Without it, the costume just wouldn't be complete!

One family gave out books instead of candy.  I thought this was a great idea!  However, Kyndall is no dummy---she knows the good stuff when she sees it!

Kyndall loves Mrs. Gloria!!!!

My best group shot:  Julia the garden gnome, Elijah the tiger, Koby as Buzz Lightyear and Kyndall the watermelon.  Have you ever seen a cuter bunch??

Since Kyndall is too young to play the games and win the candy, guess who go to do it for her?  These two boys told me "since you're older, you have to do it backwards".  So here I am looking like a fool, all for a piece of candy that I certainly don't need!!!

Michael played too.......

Kyndall and her "Aunt Amanda"  =)

I ended up bumping into my friend Hayley and her sweet baby girl Paisley.  I've been dying to meet Paisley, so I was thrilled to see them at the church!  Isn't she the cutest little fairy you've ever seen???

This is what a sleepy watermelon looks like.......

I took Kyndall around my parents' neighborhood for a little while so that some of our neighbors could see her.  We decorated her wagon with glow sticks and off we went!

My little watermelon queen had a great night!!  She even wore her watermelon PJ's to bed!  =)

Today we met up with the Medlocks and had lunch at Sonny's.  Kyndall loved checking out "Aunt Amanda's" new car!

Well, that pretty much catches you up on our busy but FUN week!  We still have five days to go, and that includes a trip to the coast for Jessica's wedding, and Kyndall's first time at the FAIR!!  I can't wait!
