We Live for the Weekends!

Like most other busy families out there, we LIVE for the weekends and can't wait to see them roll around every week.  Monday through Friday Matthew leaves the house before Kyndall and I are awake and most nights he's not home until around 6:00.  That doesn't allow for much family time during the week, so we try to make up for it on the weekends.

Matthew and Kyndall have kept up their tradition of Daddy/Daughter breakfast dates each Saturday morning, but this past Saturday Kyndall said she just wanted to "stay home and relax".  (Her words!)  So, that's what they did.......

He was finally introduced to the world of Frozen....woohoo!

Saturday afternoon we had a family photo shoot with the wonderfully talented and incredibly SWEET Megan Seals.  Kyndall did AWESOME and cooperated so well!  I really couldn't have asked for anything more out of her.  She smiled, posed and did everything we asked her to do.  I guess having a camera in her face since the day she was born has finally paid off!  =)

Here are the two proofs that Megan has shared with me so far.  LOVE THEM and can't wait to see the rest in a couple of weeks!

I took this one after we got home and I thought it was cute.  I'm no Megan, but I can dream!

It never ceases to amaze me how quickly things can change in the world of a moody toddler.  All I did was ask her to come inside and change out of her clothes and she went into a full blown meltdown.  I told her I was going to start taking pictures of her when she's acting ugly and then show them to her later.  So, here's that...........

I also started decorating for Easter on Saturday!  I love decorating for the holidays and the changing seasons!

We also spent some much needed time with our BFFs this weekend, the Raleys.  Kyndall can't get enough of Caroline and I just love me some Glory.  Matthew and Jereme are pretty fond of each other too.  It's always a fun time when the 6 of us get together!

I went upstairs at one point to find the two of them having a "candle light"conversation around the table.  Too funny.....

Miss Glory is fun!

What in the WORLD are we going to do when these three leave us in a few months??  Ugggh.....I can't even.....!!!

Kyndall thinks she's a member of the Raley family

No words.....

Love this girl so much!  If ever you've doubted the theory that opposites attract, just look at our friendship and you'll be a believer!  We could not possibly be more different, but I couldn't possibly love her more!

Everyone took a turn being "bride girl"

Weekends are simply the best around here and we always hate to see them end.  But, if I had to choose, this next picture sums up how I wish I could spend every Sunday afternoon.  My cousin sent me this picture of our Grandma cooking up one of her famous Sunday dinners for everyone to enjoy last night.  What I wouldn't give to be there every weekend with them!  Sometimes the distance factor can really get to me if I let it.

Speaking of weekends, I have we have a lot of projects around the house that should occupy a good bit of our weekend time for the next few months.  Painting the kitchen and dining room, completely re landscaping the yard, organizing the play room, etc.  But FIRST on the list is to complete Kyndall's bedroom.  I think I've finally decided on a color combination of pink and gray. Here's my inspiration.....

Kyndall is on Spring Break this week but we aren't doing anything exciting.  Maybe a trip to the bouncy house and a visit to the library for story time....??  We'll see.  But as always, I'll be counting down the days until the weekend!

  1. It's funny because after our weekend I just felt so blessed and rejuvenated. We also live for the weekends and the memories we make along the way! Cute post and can't wait to see the rest of your family pictures! LOVE the spring color-scheme!
