Christmas Vacation Photo Dump

I have a hand full of pictures from our Christmas vacation that don't really fit with any of my other blog posts, but they were too good not to share.  So, here they are in what I'm calling a "photo dump".  A bunch of random pictures all dumped into one post.

This nativity scene is very special to me, and I enjoy admiring it every Christmas.  It was handmade by my MeMe back in the 70's, before I was ever born.  For some reason, she chose to give it to me when I was very young and I've treasured it ever since.  Not only is it beautiful, but knowing that she made it herself makes it even more special.  

What I treasure most about it is this note that she wrote to me.  As you can see, it's seen better days.  Right after I took this picture, I CAREFULLY removed the note and had it laminated in hard plastic, in hopes of preserving it for many more years to come.  Without the note, the set just doesn't have the same meaning.

As always, she spent a LOT of time bouncing!

Matthew and my Dad hunted every day, so we looked forward to seeing them when they came home at night!
