Thanks for the piano, Aunt Kelly! It's definitely a favorite!!
This nativity scene is very special to me, and I enjoy admiring it every Christmas. It was handmade by my MeMe back in the 70's, before I was ever born. For some reason, she chose to give it to me when I was very young and I've treasured it ever since. Not only is it beautiful, but knowing that she made it herself makes it even more special.
What I treasure most about it is this note that she wrote to me. As you can see, it's seen better days. Right after I took this picture, I CAREFULLY removed the note and had it laminated in hard plastic, in hopes of preserving it for many more years to come. Without the note, the set just doesn't have the same meaning.
As always, she spent a LOT of time bouncing!
I had so much fun playing around with my new camera! Look at this cool shot I took using the close-up setting......
Kyndall LOVES her Bob and Larry!
But not as much as she loves her Grammy!
Matthew and my Dad hunted every day, so we looked forward to seeing them when they came home at night!
Having fun with G-Daddy............
And with his hat!
Can anyone find Huckabee's eyes? No worries, he's getting a haircut TOMORROW!
So there you have it! I'm finally caught up on all of my pictures and posts! Whew!
love the one of her looking up at her daddy. So sweet.
ReplyDeleteGreat job getting your blog posts finished! Love the pics...sweet memories :)
ReplyDeleteloved this one...but....you are NOT done...you said you would do one blog of her 'mouth open' expressions....I really want to see that one!! Just FYI, the nativity set was made in the 1960's per the note from Meme. Keep the blogs coming....make something up if you have nothing to blog about...LOL!!!
ReplyDeletelove,
