Matthew's Birthday

Wednesday was my hubby's birthday and I wanted to make it special for him, despite the fact that he's working this crazy weird schedule at work where he doesn't get home until 10 pm every night.  =/  Since a birthday dinner wasn't an option, I decided to have a birthday breakfast instead.  I made all of his favorites---pancakes, cheese grits and sausage.  After breakfast, he spent time playing with Kyndall while I cleaned up, and then it was time for his gifts. 

I used Shutterfly to make this acrylic picture thingie for his desk so that he could show off Kyndall in her camo.  I also put the pictures of his first deer in an album for him, since he STILL talks about that day!  The man has everything, so I had to get creative.

Matthew left for work around 11:30 and I put Kyndall down for a nap.  As soon as she woke up, we headed up to the terminal to surprise Matthew with a birthday cake, and embarrass him just a little!  =)

His gift was proudly displayed in his office.  Good Daddy.



Last year when Matthew turned the big 3-0, we pulled off a big surprise party for him.  This was in my pre-blogging days, so here are a few pictures from last year.

I also snuck into his office the night before his birthday and made it pretty for him! =)
