Back to last week. Here's a picture dump of a few highlights of our week......
Ms. Ingrid is Kyndall's physical therapist and she comes to our house twice a week to work with her. I finally remembered to take out the camera and snap a few pictures, just to show you how much she loves her "play time" with Ms. Ingrid!
We're so proud of her!!
I guess the old saying is true....."be careful what you wish for". As excited as we are about Kyndall's new found ability to stand, pull up and cruise, it's coming with a whole host of lifestyle changes around here. Exhibit A.......bathtime is no longer a relaxing break for Mommy!!
When she's not trying to nose dive over the side of the bathtub, she's standing and purposely falling backwards into the water, just to get an "eeeeekkk" out of Mommy. Lord help me!
Side note----I think Kyndall needs a few more bath toys, don't you??
Like I said, our world has drastically changed since Kyndall found her legs. Exhibit B......
I've been using these steps and this ottoman as a sort of barricade to keep her away from the TV and out of the cabinets. She has now learned to use it to her advantage......sigh......
It seems that her new favorite way to drive us crazy is to reach up and turn the cable box off while we're in the middle of watching our favorite shows. She knows EXACTLY which button shuts the whole thing off, and she loves nothing more than to push it when we least expect it. So, we out smarted her........for a little while at least.........
On Friday I took her to see the Easter bunny at the mall. It would be the understatement of the year to say that she loved the bunny. She absolutely went NUTS over him!!! (or her?? whatever!) If our mall wasn't so cheap, I'd have taken a whole series of pictures of her reacting to the silly rabbit. But, they forbid you from taking any pictures or videos of your own. What a rip. Anyway, she kept looking up at the bunny and waving to him and jabbering some kind of baby talk to him. When it was time to go, she pitched a royal fit and started screaming, crying and kicking as I wrestled her into the stroller so that I could fork over my thirty bucks. The bunny could clearly see me struggling and was so gracious to get up off his "throne" and walk over to the stroller and kneel down and play with Kyndall as I quickly paid. Thanks, Easter bunny!
Can you see the sheer joy on her face?? She was giddy, really.

Matthew worked a different schedule this week, so Friday night Kyndall and I had a date night. Dinner and shopping, just the two of us. I tried to take a few pictures before we headed out, but I wasn't too successful.......
The Jelly Shoe obsession continues.....
And she's off......
Can you guess where she's headed?
To her new favorite place, of course!
This is totally healthy for her eyes, I'm sure.
I have been battling a terrible sinus infection for the past week and ended up taking myself to urgent care last night to try and get some relief. I still wasn't feeling 100% this morning, so we opted out of church. Instead, we watched our Pastor preach on our church's TV station from the comfort of the couch and our jammies......
Kyndall watched from her perch, as usual......
Even though I'm not feeling good, that doesn't matter when you have an active toddler. You're forced to carry on, and carry on we did. It was a gorgeous day, so we spent a lot of time outside. I don't know about you, but lately everywhere I look I see THESE...........
Kyndall spots them too (amazing to me!) and she goes to screaming (in a good way) when she sees them! So I decided to do something totally uncharacteristic of myself and let her actually play with one! Aren't you proud of me??
Her new thing to do is smell things.....in this case, the "pitter pitter"
Totally intrigued.......
Run, pitter pitter......RUN!!!!
Eventually the pitter pitter went bye bye and we got back to playing. At one point, I looked over to see her doing this. She's got her water and she's chillin'.........
I let her play on her firetruck in the front yard, which quickly turned into playing in the road. Good thing we don't live on a busy street!
Apparently, the neighbors' driveway is much more fun than our own......
One more thing I wanted to share. Tonight while we were watching the country music awards, Kyndall climbed up on her perch and started dancing her heart out. I mean she was really getting down! Of course, as soon as I grabbed the video camera she stopped. But, here she is watching as though she's looking up from the front row of a concert.......
That pretty much sums up our week! I hope everyone had a great weekend and has a great week ahead! I'm hoping it flies by so we can hit the road to Tallahassee!!
I think I laughed out loud literally 50 times in this post! She cracks me up...especially with the falling back in the bathtub...I miss her so much!

ReplyDeleteAnd I don't think I spelled that right...but you know what I meant! I should have said pitter pitter :)
ReplyDeleteWhat great photos! I love Kyndall's red and white outfit, and her hair is soo long and pretty! Actually, I love all of her spring outfits, Kyndall is very stylish! She is cracking me up on those steps, looks like you are in for a lot of new adventures now that Kyndall is up and about :)
