My family (Mom, Dad, Kelly and Michael) came up to SC for the long Memorial Day weekend. My parents arrived Thursday afternoon and Kelly and Michael came up late Friday night after work. It's always interesting to see the chaos unfold as we cram 6 adults, one toddler and four

On Saturday, the guys played golf while the girls went to lunch and got pedicures.
We've been working on having Kyndall participate in blessing our food before we eat. She's finally got the hang of it and it's so cute!
Kyndall's first time at the nail salon---Very curious!
We had dinner that night at one of our favorite places---Kelly's BBQ

Kyndall has been giving me some very clear signals that she's ready to potty train. Out of selfishness on my part, I've kind of been putting it off since she's only 20 months old. When Grammy and Aunt Kelly saw the signs for themselves, they insisted we go to Target and get a potty chair. So we did.
On Sunday, my parents and Kelly and Michael ventured into downtown Charleston to walk around the market. Matthew, Kyndall and I stayed behind, but Grammy came back with a treat for Kyndall......
LOVE it!!! Thanks, Grammy!
On Sunday afternoon, Matthew smoked ribs while we enjoyed relaxing in the front yard and watching Kyndall play.
Here's Matthew with his early Father's Day gift
We had a great weekend and you know what the best part was? It didn't have to end!! Kyndall and I loaded up and came back with them to spend two whole weeks in Tallahassee! We have a family reunion to attend, so I figured it would be easier to hitch a ride than make the drive by myself. Plus, I never turn down an opportunity to spend time in TLH! Matthew will be joining us for the reunion and then taking us back to SC.
I hope that everyone enjoyed their long holiday weekend as much as we did, and most importantly, that you remembered the TRUE reason for the extra day off from work. I am so thankful for all those who have served our country, including Michael and my Granddaddy. THANK YOU!
Aww that picture of Kyndall blessing the food is so precious! Looks like a great visit from the family! :) And I love that picture of Kyndall on the potty going after a jelly bean, she is too funny!
