After lunch, we stopped by Broadview Assisted Living to visit with my MeMe, which is Kyndall's Great Grandmother. While we were visiting, I was able to get Kyndall to say "MeMe" several times. I think that really made MeMe smile =)
I probably shouldn't include these next few pictures, but I'm doing so just to make a point to those of you who are constantly asking me how I always get such great pictures of Kyndall. The secret is, I don't post the bad ones----duhh!! Believe me, there are plenty of bad ones! Plus I'm including them because, I've gotta have some sort of blackmail material for years to come---so here ya go!
Exhibit A.........
Exhibit B..............
I'll let you use your imagination as to what she did with it next!!!
That afternoon, my other Grandparents drove over to Tallahassee and had dinner with us. It was a real treat to be able to spend the day with each of my Grandparents---Kyndall's Great Grandparents!
When they arrived, Kyndall had just gotten up from her nap. Grandma took advantage of this and enjoyed some sweet snuggles for a good 15 minutes! If you know Kyndall, you know how rare this is! Grandma soaked in every second.........
Before long, she was back to her busy self and ready to play with Granddaddy
Playing in Grandma's shoes
Mom fixed home-made pizza rolls for dinner and we enjoyed spending several hours with my Grandparents before they headed back to the big city of Two Egg, FL.
On Friday we met Aunt Kelly for lunch and then ran a few more errands before packing our bags and driving up the road to Thomasville to spend the rest of our mini vaca with Matthew's parents. When we got there, Matthew's Mom put me on a mission to get some shots of Kyndall in the smocked watermelon dress she was wearing that day. Easier said than done, but I think I got a few good ones........
This one definitely isn't a framer, but again, I just want to prove my point!! =)
Matthew's Mom cooked us a delicious dinner Friday night and she even let Kyndall pretend to "help".......
After dinner, Nonie took Kyndall for an evening swim
Funny!!! Wonder who she's seen doing this?! (Guilty!)
Kyndall was very concerned over something really scary she saw lurking in the water......
It kept her on edge........
What was it, you ask?
Nonie tried to introduce her to the Polaris, but she wanted nothing to do with it!
We tried distracting her with toys.........
But she was still very concerned.......
By the time they were finished swimming, Kyndall and the Polaris were good friends and she even put on a show by using it as her own personal microphone!
On Saturday the guys played golf in the morning and then Matthew's cousin Sarah and her family came over for lunch and a quick swim. Sadly, I didn't take a single picture. In fact, the only picture I got that entire day was taken on my cell phone. After all of the excitement was over for the day, I jumped in the shower and was surprised to come out and find this scene in the living room......

Obviously, it was a fun day! That night Nonie and Poppie babysat while Matthew and I went to dinner and a movie. It was a rare treat, and we enjoyed it very much! We saw the new Madea movie and it was hilarious! It was the perfect way to end our mini "vacation"!
On Sunday we went to church and then had lunch with our BFFs Blake and Felicia and their twins Abbie and JJ. We don't get to see them very often, but we always enjoy our time with their sweet family. Again, I didn't take any pictures of that either! What's wrong with me?! That never happens!
We returned home last night refreshed and relaxed and ready to face a busy week! I'm so glad Matthew was able to enjoy a few days off from work and just unwind a little bit. It was a small taste of our next big trip home, which will be a week spent at St. George Island with both of our families! We're counting down the days until our REAL vacation!!! Hurry up, August!!
Love all these pics... especially the ones of Kyndall using the Polaris as her microphone!
