Even though we've been living in 2013 for almost a month now, I'm still trying to catch up and I didn't want to leave out this post about how we rang in the new year. Just like pretty much every other New Year's Eve, we spent it with my family just hanging out eating junk food (including fresh, raw oysters for some--yuck!), playing games, enjoying a fire, making s'mores and topping it off with watching the ball drop and a glass of sparkling grape juice! I wouldn't want to spend it any other way!
Kyndall enjoyed a marshmallow......or fifteen.......
I am THE master of marshmallow roasting! Crunchy on the outside, warm and gooey on the inside! Perfect!
Our last family picture of 2012!
Raw oysters----GROSS!

2012 was a year of ups and downs for our family, but we made some great memories. Highlights included celebrating four years of marriage, a new car for me, Kyndall FINALLY learning to walk (at 20 months old!), a blissful week-long beach vacation in FL, my sister getting engaged, celebrating Kyndall's 2nd birthday, Matthew's promotion to Jackson, TN and a surprise getaway trip to Savannah to celebrate my 30th. Scattered in between were lots of great trips home to see our family, and play dates with our Moms group. Though we were thrown some pretty big challenges at the very end regarding my health, we are entering 2013 with hope in our hearts and faith that the Lord will see us through whatever is to come. I know that He has a perfect plan for our family and I can't wait to see what's in store for us in 2013! No matter what, I am thankful and blessed to have spent yet another year as wife to Matthew and Mommy to Kyndall. All the rest was just icing on the cake!
Happy 2013, friends!! Wishing you a healthy and happy year to come!
We will make it thru 2013 together!!!!
