.......Since I cleaned out the pictures on my iPhone and uploaded them to the blog. In fact, I don't think I've done it since we moved, which has been two months. Even though cell phone pictures are my least favorite kind, I still tend to take quite a few these days. With an active toddler, I don't always have time to grab my real camera when something cute or memorable happens. So even though I'm cringing at the quality of these shots, I'm thankful that at least I have them to look back on and share with all of you!
(If some of these look familiar, it's probably because you've seen them on FB. Which is one thing I DO love about cell phone pictures--Quick and easy access to social networking)
Playing with G-Daddy's glasses
Celebrating Aunt Kelly's birthday with a cupcake
My dogs and my Dad.....There are no words.....
I fell in LOVE with this little table set at Hobby Lobby! Too bad it's $100!
Chillin' with her new Minnie House Tervis
Something new we've discovered since being in Jackson is that many of the stores have these fun carts for the kids to ride in. Kyndall calls them "beep beeps" and I call them a lifesaver. I can't tell you how many parking lots I've trekked across in the freezing snow, just to get her a "beep beep". The things we do......
Another Hobby Lobby gem. Saw this wall hanging and decided to ask sweet Ms. Donna to make it into a wall decal to go above K's crib in her room. I should be getting it this weekend and I can't wait to put it up! I cried the first time I read it because it is so true.
My sister was here for a week at the beginning of January to help us get settled and unpacked. She watched Kyndall one night while Matthew and I went to dinner and sent me this picture while we were gone. =)
We are SO SO SO happy to once again live in a town that has a Steak 'N Shake! My, how we've missed it! (Kyndall is excited too, really she is!)
It was sad saying goodbye to Aunt Kelly at the airport after she spent a whole week with us.......
Waiting to catch one last glimpse of Aunt K as she came through security......
Poor girl
She was pretty bummed, until she saw this thing in the parking deck on the way back to the car........
She and Daddy "rode on it" twice and that seemed to cheer her right back up!
Sometimes, this is the only way we can get her to eat dinner. Sitting at her Minnie Mouse desk in front of the TV. Hey, you gotta pick your battles!

I got her a remote control car for Christmas.......think she likes it??
I think this was the day we made our first visit to Daddy's work......??
12:53 pm and 27 degrees. I did not sign up for this.
Another Christmas gift. She eats dinner in here sometimes too, by the way.
Pedicures!
On rare occasion, it's warm enough to actually enjoy our wonderful backyard and patio. On this particular day, she enjoyed eating her breakfast outside as well as several hours of play time.
A "beep beep" and a free sugar cookie = a winning combination for a successful trip to Kroger for Mommy!
Saturday mornings are reserved for Kyndall and Daddy time. He takes her to breakfast every single Saturday morning and then usually they go run some errands for me. On this particular Saturday, he requested that I dress her in her finest camo......
Matching Daddy/Daughter Camo
(Both of their outfits were gifts from my Dad, by the way! Surprised?)
She got a "prize" on the first day she successfully took a nap on her mat at school! (This remains the ONLY day she has taken a nap on her mat at school!)
Stealing the spotlight at Daddy's birthday dinner
Dinner at Old Town Spaghetti Store to celebrate Matthew's 32nd
Making Valentine's Day cookies......
I love the look of satisfaction on her face. She was pretty proud of her creations!
I think we were going to story time at the library on this day?? I really can't even remember.
Who says you can't monogram a bedroom door?!
It's a duck parade!
On a snow day, we brought the snow INSIDE! So much easier that way!
Sporting more camo, this time in the form of PJs. Another gift from G-Daddy!
Second day of school, maybe?? I don't know, but she looked cute!
Ready for school on Valentine's Day!
Some of her loot from school on V-Day
One of her Valentine's Day gifts from my parents. We named him Hoo Hoo and he goes pretty much everywhere Kyndall does these days.
One of the little goodies I put in her Valentine's Day bag. I used to LOVE these things as a kid! It's neat to see her enjoy them now as well. So simple, yet so exciting for a toddler!
Still searching for the perfect frame for this sweet face, but SO excited about displaying it front and center above the fireplace once I find what I'm looking for!!
The problem with selling your old furniture TWO days prior to your new furniture being delivered is that you're left with nowhere to sit! So, we improvised few a couple of days with an air mattress. As you can see, Kyndall thought it was grand!
Hanging out on the air mattress
She's discovered the front view on the camera phone and thinks it's super funny to see herself
My little ray of sunshine!
Ever the helper, she insisted on lending her hand to Daddy as he put our new TV stand together. I'm sure he couldn't have done it without her!
Rockin the headband once again, just like back in her infant days!
Yay, new furniture!
We had to make an unexpected Saturday morning trip to the local walk-in clinic a few weeks ago. The doctor thought she was super charming (which she was, by the way!) and he rewarded her with a lollipop.
Diva
Her two favorite things, all wrapped into one---Minnie Mouse and monster trucks. Gotta love a well rounded girl!
Watching the snow flurries on a cold morning
This is my new obsession. I'm not even really a "salad person", but this salad from Longhorn is THE BEST salad you'll ever taste! Imagine my surprise when I got a text from Matthew's account manager telling me she had left one on my doorstep one day around lunch time! They had taken a customer out to lunch and she thought of me and surprised me by dropping it off. SO much better than my usual lunch of Cheez-Its and Diet Dr. Pepper!!! Love you forever, Pam!!
Enjoying another warm-ish day......
Sensory bins are always a hit with her.....
How adorable is this??
This day was much colder, but you can only keep a toddler indoors for so long before you MUST GET OUT!
I love going into K's room on Saturday mornings and bringing her into our bed for a few minutes of snuggle time. It doesn't last long, but it's sweet while it does! (Aren't I looking lovely?? No make up, bed head and retainers still in. How lucky is Matthew to wake up to this sight everyday??)
If you know Kyndall at all, you know that she's the pickiest eater that ever lived. My friend Katie inspired me to try making healthy smoothies and offering them to her. Guess what----it worked!!! Here she is drinking a spinach smoothie and loving it!! I even went one step further and disguised the green-ish color by putting it into a pink cup just to be safe. Muahahahaha!! (That's my sneaky, evil Mommy laugh!)
This is why we do Ring Pops and other sorts of messy treats in the bath.......
This girl loves a Coke Icee, just like her Mama!!!
We're finally getting around to filling up our extra bedrooms with furniture! Who wants to come visit??
My parents have slowly been cleaning out my MeMe's house in Marianna over the past few weeks and going through some of her things. When they asked me what I would like to have, I immediately said "PICTURES!" I don't care about antique furniture or china or crystal or silver. Her vast collection of old family pictures is worth far more to me than any other tangible object could ever be. This is a portrait of MeMe taken many, many years ago. (She just turned 93 two weeks ago and I'm guessing she was probably in her 20's in this picture) Many people have said that I favor her in this photo. At first I didn't see it, but the more I look at it I think I do. I've always wondered who I took after, as I don't look much like either one of my parents. I hope her looks aren't the only thing she passed down to me---I'd love to someday see 93!
The beginning of a snow day last week
I went to my first ever MOPS meeting recently where I met some really nice ladies and their cute kiddos. We made this super easy, yet super practical craft. Who doesn't need a magnetic sticky notepad??
So simple.....An acrylic magnetic fridge frame which we slipped a piece of cute scrap booking paper into. Then, I glued two strips of ribbon--one at the top and one at the bottom. I added a little sparkle and then glued the post-it right in the middle. Super easy and so cute!
I'm SO ready for Spring! The bright colors, the warmer weather, the pretty flowers blooming, Easter festivities.....I love everything about this time of year! I couldn't hold out any longer to change out my table decor. I was dying to see some PINK! So tired of the drab colors! I actually made this centerpiece for a total of about $8. A mason jar, a few sprays of buds from Hobby Lobby and some raffia and here you have it. I didn't even have to break out my hot glue gun!
Found these adorable napkin rings at Kirkland's!
Finally found comforters that I liked for our second guest room!
I'm crazy over these patterns and colors.....for now anyway!
Seriously, who is coming to visit?! We now have two twins and a queen just calling your name! Come see us!
Saturday morning breakfast date with Daddy
She's crazy for her pink sparkly shoes that cousin Carrie gave her
Enjoying another warm-ish day outside! (Are you seeing a pattern here?? We love the warm days!!)
She told me she was "changing" her babies........
This kid L-O-V-E-S to fold socks! She literally begs me to let her do it, which I think is hysterical. I think she just likes the feeling of helping me, no matter what it is. Though, to be honest it's really more hassle than help because she doesn't exactly fold them the way I would. But, I just fix it when she's not looking and that keeps everyone happy!
So proud
I went to a consignment sale last Friday night for a local Moms group and got some good deals. I didn't find as many clothes as I had hoped, but I found quite a few toys for great prices!
All 3 of these swimsuits still had tags on them....and y'all know I can't resist the itty-bitty baby bikinis!!!
Proud of her new "prizes"
I'm also a sucker for anything smocked, so this watermelon bubble was my other purchase. Can you tell I'm eager for Summer?!
Recently, Matthew introduced Kyndall to Looney Tunes on TV. She thought Wiley Coyote and the Road Runner were hilarious!
Sunday afternoon golf lessons with Daddy
Such concentration on her face
Hitting the golf ball soon turned into hitting the dogs. Check out Cam running for his life! Ha!
After breakfast this past Saturday, Matthew took Kyndall to the train museum. He said she had a blast! These are some pictures he sent me from his phone. Not great, but I enjoyed seeing how much fun she had.
She loves her bubble baths!
Folding socks.......again.......
Trying out the new bar stools and supervising Daddy as he puts them together
Her new favorite place to eat
My little pot of gold
These bloomers were so adorable and truly what sold me on buying the outfit in the first place...........
However, they never even made it out the door. As soon as she started walking they fell straight to her ankles, so we had to ditch them. Skinny girl problems.
Having a "sip" (or 10) of Mommy's drink after school today
She's gotten pretty clever, I tell ya. She asks me for a "sip" so I had her the cup. However, she knows that I can't possibly reach all the way back there while driving to take it away so she continues to "sip" on it until we finally reach a red light and I can yank it back. Sneaky girl.
Things I never thought I'd hear myself say......"Kyndall, get the dog out of the shopping cart right now!".........
There you have it---Our lives in the form of cell phone pictures over the past two months! I'll have LOTS more pictures to share soon, because my parents are coming up to visit this weekend! They'll be arriving late tomorrow night and staying through Wednesday. It will be their first trip to Jackson and their first time seeing our new home and our new town. They're coming up to help out while I have a very important appointment at Vanderbilt Medical Center next Tuesday in Nashville. (Prayers on that day greatly appreciated!!) When they leave on Wednesday, they'll be taking me and Kyndall back with them to Tallahassee for TWO WEEKS! Woo hoo, I can't wait! I'd love to see any of you who are up for lunch dates, play dates, girls nights, whatever! I'll return in a few weeks with lots of pictures to share, including our annual Easter egg hunt at my Grandparents' house! This is my absolute FAVORITE family tradition, so I can't wait! I hope that everyone has a wonderful, blessed Easter and that you remember the true meaning of the day. It's about so much more than new Easter dresses, egg hunts and chocolate bunnies! (Though, I do love all of those things very much!!)
Holy crap that was a lot of pictures, lol. Enjoyed them though! Can't wait t see you...
ReplyDeleteI love this post. I love all of the pictures! What a great way to catch up.
