Random Pictures from our Tallahassee Adventures

During our time in Tallahassee, we squeezed in as much fun as possible with lunch dates, play dates, pool time, family time, Vacation Bible School, lots of shopping and eating, and even TWO girls' nights out for ME with my BFFs!!!  It was a busy couple of weeks, but isn't it always??  I didn't take pictures of everything we did, but I did grab a few shots here and there when I remembered to do so.

We met my Mom out on her lunch break several times, but on this particular occasion I thought Kyndall looked especially cute  =)

Technically, Kyndall isn't old enough for Vacation Bible School just yet, but my home church was having their annual VBS during the time we were in town and I couldn't resist showing up one night just to walk around and soak up some of the FUN!  VBS is one of my favorite childhood memories ever---who doesn't love it??  I can't wait until Kyndall is old enough to participate, but for now she was happy just dancing around during the music time and watching the games..........

(Side note, my sweet new friend Jenna made this adorable FSU dress for Kyndall as a gift! I wanted Jenna to see her wearing it, so I put her in it the night we visited VBS)

She even monogrammed a "K" on the lower right side!

Having fun at VBS!!!

Towards the end of our visit, our friend Mrs. Sandra came over to my parents' house to visit with me and Kyndall for a few hours.  She came bearing goodies for Kyndall and some sweet gifts for me!

We also had a Friday night pizza party and play date with Payton and her mommy Lindsey......

Kyndall called Payton's swing set a "playground"

The toys are always more fun at someone else's house.......

My little neat freak in action

On our last Saturday in town, my sister, my mom, Kyndall and I spent the day lounging by the pool and enjoying the beautiful weather, while my Dad and my brother-in-law went fishing......

We made snow cones and enjoyed a few......

........or ten!  =)

It's a long story and most of you already know it, but my Dad and Michael ended up having a pretty crazy boating accident in which Michael was knocked unconscious and he was left with a pretty bad concussion and my Dad with two broken ribs.  We're actually very thankful that it wasn't much worse!  Anyway, Kyndall was very concerned about both of them when they returned home with their injuries that afternoon.

She thought that playing Uncle Michael a song on her piano would make his head feel better.  Of course it does!  What could possibly be better for a pounding head than a toddler banging and clanging on a metal piano?!

The next day was Father's Day so everyone except for my Dad and Michael (who were still recovering from their injuries) headed to Two Egg to spend the day celebrating my Granddaddy.  We grilled hamburgers and enjoyed some really good family time with him and my Grandma too......

My Uncle Scott with his girls

Garrison and Kyndall helped Granddaddy open his gifts

These two could play together for days on end!

We enjoyed some ice cold watermelon after lunch---my FAVORITE!!

Sweet Chloe

Pretending they were fishing.....

These two will celebrate 57 years of marriage tomorrow, June 29th!

The original Basford family

I love my Granddaddy!!

We spent the next two days cramming in a few more fun activities like an evening play date at the park with our friends, some more pool time and a lunch date at my favorite place----Barnaby's!

I don't even remember exactly which of those places we were going this day, but again, I thought Kyndall looked super cute in her dress and couldn't resist a little mini photo shoot by the pool!

That wraps up our three and a half weeks in Tallahassee!  We were very sad to go, but we did miss Matthew while we were gone, so we were also excited to get back home and see him.
