Thanksgiving 2015

We spent our Thanksgiving in Two Egg at my Grandparents' house just like we have done every year for as long as I can remember.  I love our family traditions and this is definitely one of my favorites.

We missed having my cousin Katie and her family there this year as they were in New York City enjoying the holiday festivities.  Kyndall was excited to look for them on TV during the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Kyndall was fascinated with my cousin Carrie's growing belly.  We can't wait to meet baby Jackson in a few weeks!

She can't get enough of Wyatt but when asked if she wants a brother or sister of her own she is adamant that she "wants to be the only one" and that she doesn't need a baby sibling because she "has Wyatt and that's enough."  Hmmmm.

Matthew's parents join us every year and I am grateful that we don't have to spend our day traveling all over the place just to see everyone.  I love having everybody together!

The post Thanksgiving lunch scene always looks like this.....

And while they sleep, the girls clean the kitchen.  Something is wrong here....

Kyndall loves to swing on this OLD swing set that was a gift from Santa when I was about her age.  It has definitely served our family well!

Doing a little golf cart ridin'....

I'm not sure why, but Kyndall has recently started doing these random poses in pictures and usually I don't catch it until AFTER the picture is taken.  Grrrr.

After we left Two Egg that afternoon, we stopped by Marianna to visit MeMe and feed her Thanksgiving dinner.

It was a great day and as always, served as a great time of reflection for me personally.  I thought of my donor's family as they celebrated their second Thanksgiving without their loved one and I thought of my own life and how grateful I am to see another Thanksgiving come around.  I am here because someone else is not.  Those thoughts make holidays very bittersweet for me.

The next day we were DISNEY bound!!!!  Lots of pictures and fun stories in my next post!
