1st Blogiversary!

Yesterday was my first "blogiversary", which means I've been blogging one whole year!  I'm so glad I made the decision to start this blog, thanks to the encouragement of my BFF Betsy.  I really do think it's one of the best decisions I've ever made.  Not only is it a great outlet for my thoughts, my questions and my bazillions of pictures, but it's also something that I hope will be treasured by many, long after I'm gone.  I can't think of a better way to document the day to day happenings of our family than through this blog.  I plan to have it printed each year and made into a book, which I will eventually pass down to Kyndall and any other children we may have.  If you're a faithful blogger, you know just how much time and dedication it takes to keep one going.  I've spent many late nights, early mornings and precious time that could otherwise be spent on "me" in order to keep it up to date and accurate.  It may seem trivial to some, but it's become very important to me.

So, one year and countless hours later, here's what I have to show for all of my hard work and precious time spent.........

  3. Awesome blog :)

I follow quite a few blogs and it is clear to me that people blog for different reasons...it seems to me that for you, not only are you recording details for Kyndall to be able to look back and reflect on; you are also recreating events and moments for your family and friends to get to enjoy, especially since y'all live away from everyone right now. Journaling is also a great way to process your thoughts and feelings as they happen - we don't always remember how excited or happy or sad something made us and it is great to be able to go back and read through that. The pictures - to me - are just ICING on the blog cake :)

    Keep up the good work!

    1. P.S. The only thing that worries me (and it worries me about my own blog too, now that I can see where all of the "views" originate) is someone knowing too much about our little ones and using it to their advantage. You and I both usually blog after the fact so that minimizes the chance that someone could stalk us, but that aspect does worry me somewhat. I've thought about password protecting my blog but haven't done that yet...probably won't, but I'll just try to be mindful of the specifics...it is sad that we have to be concerned about that but it is a reality.
