After a busy and fun-filled week in Tallahassee, Friday was our last free day left to do whatever we wanted. So, I packed up the car and headed West to the big city of Two Egg, Florida! (aka God's country) Although I saw my Grandparents at Kyndall's party a few days prior, I didn't really feel like we got to visit much since the party was such a busy time. It's important to me that I spend as much time with all of my Grandparents as I possibly can. Kyndall is blessed to still have 3 of her 4 Great Grandparents and I want her to know who they are and hopefully have wonderful memories of time spent with them.
Grandma had a yummy spread of her southern cooking waiting for us when we arrived at lunchtime. She had all of the things I love---fried chicken, cream corn, field peas and my all time favorite, fried cornbread! This was such a treat, considering my lunch usually consists of a hand full of Cheez Its and a soda!
Kyndall loves Chloe, my Grandparents' great dane. I don't even think she realizes that Chloe is a dog, since she probably looks more like a small horse from Kyndall's perspective!
This little table is so special! It was my Mom's when she was a little girl, then all of the Grandchildren used it (I'm sure I have pictures of me sitting at it somewhere), and now the GREAT Grandchildren are able to use it! It's definitely a treasure in our family! Maybe I'm just sentimental, but I think that's pretty neat!
I adore these next few pictures of Grandma and Kyndall dancing together! I clearly remember Grandma doing this kind of thing with me, and now she's able to do it with Kyndall.
We always have to go for a golf cart ride when we visit Grandma and Granddaddy
Grandma has an entire closet full of toys, yet Kyndall spent almost an hour "cleaning" Grandma's living room. She went into every corner, even telling Granddaddy to "moo" (move) so she could clean under his chair! My little OCD child!
Eventually, something else caught her eye---These roller skates! She had a blast scooting around the living room!
Although you wouldn't know it, Granddaddy WAS in fact there too! He had hurt his back earlier that morning, so he spent most of the day in his easy chair. Even still, I'm bummed that I didn't get a single picture of him.
We had a great visit and I enjoyed spending some quality time with my Grandparents. I hate that we don't get to see them more often, but I always try to make the best of the time that we do have together!
making wonderful memories. Kyndall is very lucky to have three great grandparents still alive!
