Since my last post was a bit of a downer, I thought I'd spread some blogger Christmas cheer by sharing a few cute photos of my girl with you.
I organized a community outreach project for our Moms group which we participated in this morning. We took the kids Christmas caroling at the community senior center here in Summerville. It's basically like a daytime hang out for all of the seniors around town. They gather there daily for games, activities and socialization. It's pretty sweet. Anyway, it ended up primarily being the Moms doing the singing, but I guess that's to be expected with kids so young. I had each of them bring little bags of cookies that we then passed out to the seniors as we walked around and visited with them. It was sweet to see their eyes light up at the sight of little ones. I think they really enjoyed it and I know Kyndall did. She is so social and truly never meets a stranger. She walked up to each of them, handing them their cookies and saying her version of "Merry Christmas". I acted as translator. When they complimented her on her dress or her pretty sparkly shoes, she excitedly replied "tank ew!!" (thank you). I love that she has such great manners!!
She was very intrigued with their canes, wheelchairs and walkers. That didn't embarrass me really, but when she started pointing out the age spots on their faces and shouting "boo boo!" "boo boo!" it was then that I felt like crawling under the table!! It happened several times and I quickly moved on to the next person each time she did it. We'll have to work on creating a filter for her little mind as she gets older!!
When we returned home she requested to play in her house. I figured this would be one of the last chances she gets before we move, as our next few weeks are EXTREMELY busy! She was in a happy, playful mood and she looked simply adorable in her little pillowcase dress. So naturally I pulled out my camera and here's what I got...........
This is what I get when I tell her to "sit like a Princess". Love it!!
And this is what I get when I tell her to say "cheeeeese"
Everyone knows that nothing thrills me more than sending and receiving Christmas cards! Kyndall and I literally wait by the window for the mailman each day as we anxiously anticipate the arrival of another hand full of beautiful smiling faces and sweet notes of Christmas cheer. Today was even more fun, as I received a card from my sweet friend Maggie only to realize that she used a photo that I myself had taken of her adorable boys! Maggie asked me to photograph her family a few weeks ago and I was so honored to see that she chose one of my pictures for her card. I'm holding out that in about 18 years, one of these two cuties will catch Kyndall's eye!!! They are just as sweet as they are handsome!!
I know I've been blogging a lot lately, but I'm trying to keep myself caught up while I can! It's very likely that over the next few weeks as life gets completely CrAzY for us, my blog will be sorely neglected.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
love the pics of Kyndall....I think she has changed since last Sunday....LOL!!! Glad she was nice and friendly to the elderly but just so you will know, you and Kelly were also intrigued by aged spots and flabby skin when you were little!!

Awww, love that pillow case dress! Do you know someone who makes them? Kyndall looks precious and all ready for Christmas! I like reading about all the wonderful things your Moms group does. I am part of a Christian mom's group through St. Peter's Anglican church and I'm really thankful for the moms and children I've met there. I have a feeling it wont take you long to get hooked into a great church and mom's group in your new home of Jackson, TN! Looking forward to seeing you soon! XoXo
