7 Months Old!

I know I say this every month, but I truly CANNOT believe that Kyndall is 7 months old today!!  How in the world can that be??  We are getting closer and closer to the big 1 year mark and I just want to say "STOP!"  She is growing so fast and changing every single day!  She keeps us laughing with her witty personality and her adorable facial expressions!  We don't go back to the doctor until her 9 month check up, so I don't have any stats to share this month.

Kyndall, here's what you've been up to lately....

*You started eating baby food this month and just like we suspected, you LOVE it!  Your favorites seem to be squash, sweet potatoes and carrots.  You don't seem as fond of the green stuff like sweet peas and green beans.  You aren't refusing them, I can just tell that you already have your preferences!
*We've started giving you little "treats" from time to time, which is nothing more than about 2 ounces of watered down apple juice.  Nonetheless, you are crazy about it!
*You are still sleeping wonderfully and have really settled into your own little routine.  You normally fall asleep around 9:00 at night and sleep until 9:00 or 10:00 the next morning!  Mommy LOVES the fact that you like to sleep in, just like I do!
*You normally take one good nap each day, sometime after lunchtime and it usually lasts about 2 hours.
*You remain the swaddle queen!  Nothing has changed there!  We're slowly trying to work you out of the swaddle, but you're pretty stubborn about it!
*You are almost sitting up on your own!  You're sooo close, but still need a little bit of help sometimes.
*You are chattering up a storm and today, on your 7 month birthday, Mommy and Daddy heard you babble the sound "Da Da"!  I don't think you actually knew what you were saying, but you definitely said it over and over again!  Daddy loved this!
*You have finally started to notice your "brothers", Cam and Huck.  I think it's cute how curious you are about them.  I have to wonder what you're thinking when you look at them.  I have a feeling it's only a matter of time before you'll give them a run for their money!
*Aunt Kelly has nick-named you the "Giggling Princess" and it totally fits you!  You are constantly giggling and laughing, which in turn makes us laugh.  Usually it's something none of us even find funny, but you seem to find humor in the simplest things!  I love it!!
*Still no sign of a tooth yet, but I know you've got to be getting close!
*You are still in a size 2 diaper and although you're 7 months old, you're just now fitting perfectly into 6 month clothes.  In fact, there are even a few 3 month outfits that you can still fit into!
*You attended your very first baby shower this past month, which Mommy helped to host for Betsy.
*We are looking forward to this weekend, which will be your very first Easter!  Mommy went waaaay overboard on goodies for your Easter basket, as usual.  We can't wait to take you to Two Egg on Sunday for the annual family cook out and egg hunt at Grandma and Granddaddy Basford's house!  Mommy has been doing this since I was your age and now you get to experience it as well!
*In two weeks, on Mommy's very first Mother's Day, you will be dedicated to the Lord at Morningside Baptist Church in Tallahassee.  The whole family is so excited about this!  What a special day that will be!

As always, you are the light of our lives and you bring joy and smiles everywhere you go!!!  We love you so much, sweet girl!!!

Here are Kyndall's 7 month pictures.  As you can tell by this series of shots, she's not ALWAYS the most cooperative when it comes to picture taking!  Sometimes it's hit or miss on the smiles and cute expressions.  Today was a big miss!!

Her expression in this first shot gave me a pretty good indication of what I was in for....can you say attitude?!

I think she's saying:  "Enough, ok?  Enough!"
