11 Months Old

I'm a few days behind on this post because we were at the beach on August 20th, which marked Kyndall's 11 month birthday!  I can't believe that in just a couple of weeks, we'll be celebrating her first birthday!!! 

Here's what you've been up to this month, Kyndall......

*We don't go back to the doctor until after you're a year old, so I don't have any new stats to post, but I'm estimating that you weigh around 18 pounds. 
*You are wearing size 9 month clothes, and at times, even some 6 month clothes still fit you
*You're in a size 3 diaper
*You're sleeping great, usually from about 9:30 at night until about 8:30 in the morning.  You take two naps a day, one in the morning at about 10:30, and another in the afternoon around 4:00.  However, you're very flexible and make it very easy on Mommy when we have busy days and can't keep a strict schedule.  I'm so thankful for that!!
*You still don't have a single tooth!!  Not even a sign of one!
*Despite not having any teeth, you're eating more and more table foods!  You have recently tried applesauce, mac and cheese, peas, turkey, mashed potatoes, french fries, animal crackers, mandarin oranges, McDonald's pineapple mango smoothie, and ice cream.  So far there doesn't seem to be anything you don't like!
*Actually, you don't seem to like your formula very much anymore, which is still stressing Mommy out!  We're lucky if we can get you to drink 12 or 13 ounces a day, whereas you used to drink around 27 a day!  You do love apple juice and ice water though!
*You've experienced LOTS of firsts lately:  Your first wedding, first baby shower, first wedding shower, first funeral, first time staying in a hotel, first Christening for a friend, and your first family vacation to the beach!
*You've had a very busy summer, as the two of us have spent most of our days in Tallahassee!  In fact, we just returned last night from three whole weeks in Florida! 
*You have several new tricks that we love:  Blowing bubbles in the pool, clapping and saying "yay", standing while holding onto the coffee table/couch/whatever, drinking from a straw, and pulling your bows out of your hair.  Mommy isn't too happy about the last one!
*You're still not walking, but the doctor says not to worry and to enjoy it while we can!
*Your eyes continue to get more blue and more beautiful by the day, and everywhere we go people comment on how pretty they are.  I hope they stay that way.
*We've bought you several DVDs to watch, but your favorite continues to be Veggie Tales Sing Along: I Love My Lips.  I have no idea how, but you definitely know the difference!  You don't pay much attention to the other movies, even the other Veggie Tales DVDs, but as soon as we put this one on your face lights up and you start bouncing with joy.  It's so cute!
*You're still hanging on to the paci, which continues to be ok with me since you don't have any teeth yet!

You're at such a fun age, and we love watching you grow and learn.  It's hard to believe that in just a few weeks, we'll be celebrating your first birthday with friends and family.  I don't want you to grow up, but at the same time, I'm loving each new stage even more than the one before!  I'm anxious to see what comes next for you!
