Things are in full swing around the Hughes House lately! Between making trips home, play dates, our Moms group, church activities, appointments and LIFE in general, we've been quite busy! As I've said before, I'm not a huge fan of cell phone pictures and I always prefer shooting through my camera lens rather than a cell phone screen. However, when life is BUSY and your hands are FULL, sometimes it's better than nothing at all! So here's what I like to call a cell phone photo dump (aka a bunch of random pictures from the past few months!)
This was taken the afternoon that Kyndall and I returned from our trip to Tallahassee. We stayed an extra week following her party, and Matthew returned home to work. He had her new kitchen set put together and waiting for her when we arrived. Here she is checking it out for the first time........
He put her new shopping cart together too...........
How cute is this kitchen set?? It's so realistic! All of the appliances make "real life" sounds, the clock keeps real time, and my favorite----the light over the stove!
We had to do a little bit of re-arranging to accommodate all of the new birthday toys, plus the kitchen set. Since we don't have a play room, I carved out this teeny tiny little spot in our living room for Kyndall to call her own.
The kitchen set's new home. Thanks Nonie, Poppie, Grammy, G-Daddy, Aunt Kelly and Uncle Michael!!
Kyndall loves her Minnie Mouse pillow pet! Thanks, Katie, Brian, Bryce and Garrison!!
Pretty much every gift Kyndall received for her birthday had something to do with Minnie Mouse. These glasses came with a dress up set that she got. This particular day, she wasn't taking them off!
Same day, same glasses!!
The weather has been SO NICE, so we've been making lots of trips to our neighborhood park lately........
I see you judging me for giving my kid a Coke Icee, but hey she knows a good thing when she sees it and after all, she IS my daughter and I AM the queen of Coke Icees!
Even on a cool day, nothing beats an Icee!!!
My child who wasn't even walking 6 months ago is now climbing on every piece of playground equipment she sees!
Lunch date with Mommy, and of course Minnie Mouse
Minnie Mouse goes to Bojangles
Minnie Mouse goes to Wal-Mart
I wish you could see just how many Minnies are in this child's bed. On any given night, she has AT LEAST six of them crammed in there with her!
This picture was taken at 10:00 am when I WOKE HER UP. I'm telling you, this girl loves her sleep!
Blowing bubbles (in our PJs)
The continuing adventures of Minnie Mouse......Minnie watches TV
Another beautiful day at the park........
Such a monkey---Climbing and swinging on everything
Maybe this seems mean to some, but I decided to hide Kyndall's birthday gifts and "ration" them to her slowly. Each day I would bring out a new toy for her to open. It worked really well and gave her a chance to really enjoy each of them. On this particular day, I gave her this snap on Minnie Mouse dress up kit from my parents...........
Dressing Minnie...........
When she walked away, I picked up Minnie to see that she had dressed her perfectly with all of the matching accessories! I was pretty impressed!
Matthew's parents gave Kyndall new pearl earrings for her birthday. I put off the task of changing them for as long as possible because I was TERRIFIED of removing the original studs. She's had them pierced for a year now, so I was hopeful that this would be a quick and painless task. Success! I had them both changed out in under a minute! Whew!!
My little OCD girl cleaning her cart at Publix with an anti-bacterial wipe
She finally has enough hair for a pony tail!! It's super cute and makes her look like such a big girl!
I told you, we spend a lot of time at the park! Gotta enjoy this weather while it lasts!!! Soon it will be freezing outside!
Sporting her "moon shoes" and her ankle braces
Back home for a smoothie and some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on TV before naptime
We made some cute Halloween crafts using Kyndall's hands and feet. Only problem is now every time I pull out the paint, she automatically tries to cover her hands and feet in it!! Oops!
Last Saturday she proudly wore her FSU dress that Mrs. Christine made
Kyndall is not a morning person---Can you tell?
Matthew went hunting later that night, so Kyndall and I had a girls night out. Dinner at Firehouse and then shopping! It was a wild night, lemme tell ya! =)
She was completely fascinated with the Christmas decorations!! She cried and threw a royal fit when we finally walked away.
Last Sunday she wore the beautiful new smocked dress that Kris Kimel gave her! Can't wait to show you the images that Kris got of her wearing this dress at her two year photo shoot!!!
Now that it finally FEELS like Fall, we can put up our decorations! Kyndall helped by placing these window clings on our front door. I let her do it all by herself!
Of course, Minnie helped too!
I made this wreath last year
Kyndall did a pretty good job with the leaves!
Kyndall is getting pretty good at peddling her bike all by herself! I have a video but I'm too lazy to upload it to the blog. If you're on Facebook, you've probably already seen it anyway.
Yes, those are her PJs! This was taken on Monday when we were suddenly hit with chilly weather. I wasn't prepared and long PJs were the only easily accessible winter clothes I had time to dig out!
We made Minnie Mouse cookies and Kyndall helped for the very first time
My OCD child wanted to line the cookies up in neat little rows, rather than spacing them out
And that's how we've been spending our free time lately! We have a lot to look forward to in the next month. This weekend Matthew's parents are coming to visit, then my Mom is coming up on the 23rd to help out while I have a medical procedure done. When she leaves, Kyndall and I will go back with her to spend a week in Tallahassee. I'm taking another photography class (yay!!!) and we'll also be there for Halloween and the North Florida Fair!!! This is my favorite time of year because there are always so many fun activities to look forward to. Not to mention the cooler weather, which I love!
Now, to decide what Ms. Kyndall will be for Halloween....?? I'm thinking Minnie Mouse is the obvious choice, but I haven't decided for sure. What are your kids going to be? Ideas....??
