We started the morning with heart-shaped toast for breakfast
Then we had a little birthday photo shoot in her new rocking chair.....
After nap time, we got a surprise visit from the local florist, who brought Kyndall this beautiful gift from Nonie and Poppie.....
I had big plans for taking some cute shots of Kyndall in the backyard in her "birthday girl" shirt, but the rain kept my plans from happening. I settled for some pictures on the front porch instead.
Daddy and his birthday girl
A few days ago while at Kate's 2nd birthday party, I let Kyndall have her first taste of Chick-Fil-A nuggets. Not surprisingly, she LOVED them. So, for her special birthday dinner, guess where we took her?
For her special birthday treat, we gave her a blueberry muffin after dinner. She's been to three birthday parties in less than two weeks, so I figured she's had plenty of cake. Besides, everyone knows muffins are just bald cupcakes anyway! =)
Lastly, we ended her special day by Skyping with all of the Grandparents. She LOVES doing this and I love seeing her face light up when they appear on the computer screen!
Remember how I told you about Kyndall humming while she eats? Without fail, she did it tonight while we had dinner at Chick-Fil-A. It was literally so loud that I kept looking around to see if anyone near us was bothered by it! It must be a sign of contentment and approval, because it seems to get louder and more frequent with her favorite foods!
Overall, I think she had a GREAT first birthday! I'm sure in years to come she won't remember how she spent this day, but I sure will, and I will treasure those memories forever! Here's to many more birthdays and many more happy memories!
ohhhh.....I love this blog too....some really cute ones of her in the rocking chair. And, I love the ones of her Skyping because that is exactly how she looks to us on this end. I hope she had a fun day and I am sure these blog post will jolt her memory one day to all the special things that were done for her.
