Parties and Football and FUN, Oh My!

We just got back from two weeks in Tallahassee, and boy were they busy!  The first week, I spent pretty much every day preparing for Kyndall's birthday party.  Once the party was over, I was free to do all of the fun things that I enjoy while in Tallahassee.  Such as......

Swimming and playing with Nonie and Poppie in Thomasville

Having lunch with Grammy

And bouncing in our new toy from Aunt Kelly

Since we were in Tallahassee during a home game, I wanted to take Kyndall to her very first Downtown Get Down.  We got all dressed up and made big plans, but then the rain kept us from going.  =(  We drove all the way down there and never even got out of the car because it was POURING!  So, we settled for dinner at Logan's instead.  Maybe next time.

On Saturday, we were invited to Kate Evers' 2nd birthday party.  Since her party fell on the same day as the big FSU vs Oklahoma game, Rebecca decided to make it an FSU themed party.  It was SO cute!

After Kate's birthday party, we headed over to Two Egg for Garrison's 1st birthday party.  Garrison is my cousin Katie's baby, and he and Kyndall were born just six days apart!  Katie had the party at our Grandparents' house and it was adorable!!

This is the gift that we gave Garrison

My cousin Carrie is the biggest animal lover I know.  She is always coming to the rescue of some helpless animal.  The day of the party, she was taking care of this baby squirrel that was found in the road.  How cute!

Rather than bounce, this is what Garrison enjoyed doing in the bounce house.  Nearly gave all of us a heart attack!  And he kept doing it over and over again!

On Sunday, my Mom treated me and my sister to a girls afternoon.  She took us to see The Help, which I HIGHLY recommend!  It's the best movie I've seen in a very long time.  Anyway, we left Kyndall with Mrs. Shanna and Mr. Johnny for about four hours.  Nobody has ever kept her other than the Grandparents and Aunt Kelly, so this was a big deal.  They took such good care of me when I was growing up that I had no doubt that she would be in great hands!  It was such a nice treat and I really appreciated it!

We had a wonderful two weeks, as always!

  1. Love that picture of your dad with his FSU girls. Hate that we missed yet another party (Kate's)...it looked so cute! LingOL at how Kate is looking at Kyndall in the picture of the two of them. Also adorable: Kyndall's party outfit, Garrison's shirt, cake, and plate. =)

  2. Love it! I especially love the gift buckets at the party! I wish that I was going to a party and someone made me a "Leigh" bucket!
