Beach Vacation Part 1---Where to Start??

We've just returned (boo-hoo) from our absolutely wonderful week-long vacation at St. George Island.  We could not have asked for a more perfect week, and I think that my 1,388 pictures are proof of that!  Yes, you read that correctly---I somehow managed to take 1,388 pictures in seven days time!  So, it goes without saying that it'll probably take me a few days or more to get them all sorted through and posted.  If you're not in the mood to look at a ton of pictures, I suggest avoiding my blog for the next week or so!  I make no apologies for the massive amount of pictures you're about to encounter.  Read at your own risk!  =)

Matthew and I are so blessed to both have such sweet families who get along so well and enjoy spending time with one another.  This makes our yearly vacation so great, because we can spend the entire week with both of our families and everyone gets along wonderfully!  We spent the week with Grammy and G-Daddy (my parents), Nonie and Poppie (Matthew's parents) as well as my sister Kelly and her boyfriend Michael (who is now her FIANCE!!!--More on that coming up!)

Now, I'm going to attempt to let the pictures do the talking, since they obviously have a LOT to say!  =)

Check out our entourage as we left Tallahassee on Saturday afternoon.........

Mom in the Caddy

Me, Matthew, Kyndall and our two dogs in the Pathfinder

Kelly and Michael pulling Dad's Gator

And last but not least, Dad pulling the boat

Here's how we lived for the next week.......Heaven!!......

Check out mine and Matthew's bathroom and bedroom---Have you ever?!

The "morning" kitchen (aka the secondary kitchen that we never used!)

Another gigantic bathroom.............

The view from our porch---We were only 100 steps from the beach!  (I counted!)

Our very own pool

Kyndall enjoyed exploring everyone's rooms, but she especially liked Aunt Kelly's room because it had bunk beds

I guess bunk beds are better for jumping??

The porch was a GREAT place for Kyndall to run and play---Kind of like an enormous play pen!  =)

All that porch playin' makes a girl hungry!

Our stash of junk food for the week

We took turns cooking dinner and Kelly and Michael made spaghetti for our first night in the house

After dinner, Kelly and Michael went for a walk on the beach.  I wanted to let Kyndall put her toes in the sand for a little while, so we all decided to walk down a few minutes later.  When I got there, Kelly greeted me with THIS!!

Awwwww!  Michael had proposed to her, just moments before we all walked down to join them on the beach!  It was a sweet surprise and a great way to kick off our week at the beach!

Of course, I made them re-create a few cheezy poses for the sake of pictures!

Soon-to-be Michael and Kelly Thomas!

We are all so happy to have Michael become part of our family!  I am so excited for this new chapter in my sister's life and looking forward to watching the blessings that are sure to come her way!  Goodness knows, she deserves it!!

We spent the rest of the night playing on the beach and letting Kyndall explore the sand and surf

The guys decided to check out the island by going for an evening stroll on the Gator

While Kyndall enjoyed taking a swim bath in our tub!

And that pretty much wraps up our FIRST day!  Wow, this is going to take a while!  Check back for more if you're not already sick of my pictures!  I promise not to post all 1,388 but I can't say I won't come close!!  =)

  5. I am so glad you are BACK to the blog! I keep looking everyday wondering if you have had a chance to sort through a few pics and post some - (says the gal who hasn't finished her OWN vacation blogs because she hasn't sorted through all the photos yet!!?) I was SO excited to see your blog light up with a "NEW" post notification - WOOHOO! I can't wait to read all about it. Looks good so far - even if you NEVER left the house - I would have parked it in the tub and NEVER left, myself - but then again I am fat and pregnant so that skews my sense of adventure these days! :-)
