Beach Vacation Part 6---"Just Another Day in Paradise"

Thursday morning started out in a "unique" way----with Kyndall having a chocolate Moon Pie for breakfast!  It was her first one, and it's safe to say she enjoyed it.  Hey, we were on vacation so what's the big deal??

After our nutritious breakfast, we got all lathered up and packed our bags for the beach.  We got our chairs and umbrellas set up just perfectly and about 3 minutes after we got settled, the bottom fell out and it started flooding!  I ran back up to the house with the cameras and left Nonie and Kyndall down on the beach.  Priorities, people, priorities!!  =)  Once the cameras were safely in the house, I went back down to help them carry allllllll of our beach gear back.  We made the best of it and enjoyed playing on the porch until the storm passed.

Love these salt water curls!!!

Just as quickly as the rain came on, it was gone again and we were back to enjoying another beautiful day!

After some pool time, we decided to take the Gator out and explore the island.  Kyndall LOOOVES to ride on G-Daddy's Gator!!

Views of the island, taken on our Gator ride

"Faster Grammy! Faster!!"

This house gets my vote for the most bizarre beach house ever built!

One of Kyndall's favorite things to do in the beach house was ride on the elevator......

"Come on, Aunt Kelly!"

And now she's two floors higher!  Magic!  =)

Being silly with Grammy's sun visor

I love this one!!

When Kyndall went down for her nap, Matthew, Michael, Kelly and I took the Gator out again and did some shopping and more sight seeing around the island

I was pretty proud of my tan, until I saw this picture of me and George Hamilton.  Geez.

Goobers

You can't go to St. George Island without stopping at the local ice cream shop

Michael took us over to the bay side of the island and showed us some pretty views that I'd never seen before.  Here, you can see the looooong bridge that connects the island to the mainland.

When we got back to the house, Kyndall was still napping so I decided to give my "other" babies some much needed attention.  I let them come down on the beach with me for a little while, and I was surprised to find that they really liked it!

Deep in thought.......

These two crazies spent the afternoon hunting for treasures on the ocean floor.  You couldn't PAY me to go out in that water!  Someone must have forgotten to tell them it was Shark Week on Discovery!

Here's a few of their finds

It was the perfect evening to fly Kyndall's kite while watching the sunset

My loves!

It was mine and Matthew's night to cook dinner, so we had burgers---yum!

He's "special"

Kyndall ate about 482 popsicles during our week at the beach

After dinner we celebrated Poppie's birthday (a little early) with Mrs. Jody's homemade pineapple upside down cake

We ended the night by reading "Goodnight Beach"
