It's no secret that when I visit Tallahassee, I keep VERY BUSY! I figure I can sit around and do nothing here in SC, so I take full advantage of the time I have and squeeze in as much as possible during my trips home. Here's a brief summary of how I spent my 10 days in Tallahassee.......
I attended two trunk-or-treats, did the whole Halloween and trick-or-treating thing, photographed and designed "save the date" cards for my sister and her fiance, attended church with my family, had a play-date at Zoinks, took a photography workshop, got fitted for and ordered my bridesmaids' dress for little sis' wedding, met and cuddled FOUR brand new babies, helped provide dinner for two families of said babies, enjoyed my first cupcake from The Cake Shop, had several dinner and lunch dates with friends, visited my old office, spent time with my MeMe, sent Kyndall to the circus with Aunt Kelly and Uncle Michael, made a trip to Two Egg to visit my Grandparents, attended a wedding shower for my cousin, and topped it all off with a trip to the North Florida Fair! In between all of this I also did some shopping at my favorite Tallahassee stores, ate at least one meal at all of my favorite Tallahassee restaurants (except Barnaby's---boo hoo) and of course took LOTS of pictures to capture it all!
As we approached the end of the week, I realized I still had a lot of things I wanted to do, so the last few days of our trip were packed FULL! On Thursday Kyndall and I had a lunch date with my Mom and our sweet friend Mary. Mary's daughter had just gotten married the previous weekend, so we were anxious to hear all of the details. It was great catching up with her, but I failed to get any pictures.
After lunch, I took Kyndall to Broadview Assisted Living to visit my MeMe
Unfortunately, MeMe spends most of her days in bed lately and that's where we found her when we arrived. Oh, and remember that balloon Kyndall gave to MeMe two months ago?? It was still in her room and Kyndall was happy to find it!
As we were leaving, she found these balloons in the lobby
And we always have to say hello to the birds
After we left MeMe's, we were off to visit my friend Kate and her sweet baby boy Riley. Kate and her family have lived in my parents' neighborhood for years and years, and I actually used to babysit for Kate and her little brother when they were younger. Now, she has a brand new baby of her own, who was born in September. I'd been dying to get my hands on him, so I was excited for a chance to go say hello!
I tried really hard to get a picture of Kyndall and Riley together, but she wanted no part of it. Bummer. I still managed to get this sweet picture of Mama and baby, though!
That evening I passed Kyndall off to Matthew's parents for the night so that they could have some time with her before our week was over. This is the second time that she's spent the night away from me and just like last time, she did great! I missed her, but I was grateful to have pretty much ALL of Friday to myself! I had lunch with my Mom and some friends and then ran a ton of errands, all of which would've proven very difficult with a toddler in tow!
I got Kyndall back Friday afternoon so that she could go to the FSU circus with Aunt Kelly and Michael! They had been looking forward to taking her all week. Since I didn't go with them, I begged my sister to take her camera and get some pictures for me so that I could see her reaction to the circus. Kelly said she LOVED it and kept saying "more, more"!
While Kyndall was having fun at the circus, I was having some fun of my own holding two more adorable newborn babies! I helped provide dinner for two of my BFFs who both had babies within the last month.
Ava belongs to my friend Jennifer and her husband Noah. She followed in Kyndall's footsteps, making her grand entrance into the world a month early! Although Kyndall was once this small, it's hard to remember it! I must have said 1,000 times..."she's so tiny!" She is gorgeous and perfect and I'm so happy for Jen and Noah!
I also met sweet Mason that night, who belongs to my friend Rebecca, Justin and big sister Kate. Mason wasn't too happy about having his picture taken with me, but I'll try not to take it personally. =) Just like Ava, he too is perfect and beautiful and precious!
In all, I met FOUR brand new babies during my time in Tallahassee! Spending time with Brinley, Riley, Ava and Mason has definitely given me baby fever!!
Baby.....did you say baby?????
