Happy 10 months, Kyndall Anne!! You're now in the double digits----so hard for Mommy to believe!! I remember for so long when people would ask me how old you were, quoting weeks (she's 3 weeks, 12 weeks, etc.) and now we're saying TEN MONTHS! Wow. In just a few short weeks we'll be saying "She's a year old" and we'll be calling you a toddler. How has time gone by so fast? This time last summer we were setting up your nursery and enjoying our last few trips home to Tallahassee before the doctor restricted me from traveling. It's amazing how quickly this past year has gone by.
You're still the sweetest baby I've ever known and I cherish every single day that I have with you. I look forward to going into your room every morning and seeing your sweet smiling face. You are truly a happy baby and I'm so very thankful for that!
We didn't have a doctor's appointment this month, so I don't have any new stats to report. But, here's what you've been up to lately.......
*You're still wearing a lot of 6 month clothes, but 9 month are starting to fit too.
*You've finally moved up to Size 3 diaper
*You continue to amaze us with your dancing skills and your love for music. All we have to do is say the word "DANCE!" with a lot of enthusiasm and you immediately start bouncing and moving. It's so funny to us that you really understand what this word means! Anytime you hear music, you immediately start dancing.
*You made your first trip to the South Carolina Aquarium over the 4th of July holiday weekend and you loved it! We bought family passes, so I'm looking forward to taking you back a lot over the next year!
*You celebrated your first 4th of July a few weeks ago and enjoyed the fireworks very much!
*You're starting to drink less and less formula (which is totally stressing Mommy out!) and eating more and more baby food. I think that you've realized there are better things out there than the same old white stuff you've been drinking everyday for 10 months and honestly, I can't blame you!
*We started giving you baby food that has meat in it and you seem to like it pretty well. There really doesn't seem to be any baby food that you don't like.
*You love using your sippy cup and you're really good at holding it! I could easily take the bottle from you at this point, but for now we're just alternating bottle and cup throughout the day.
*STILL NO TEETH!! Come on, baby girl! You know that having a hygienist for a Mommy means teeth are very exciting to me! Why are you holding out so long??
*You absolutely despise shoes and socks! If I can even manage to get them on you at all, you usually end up kicking them off, or crying until I take them off. We'll have to figure this out come winter time, but for now I just give up.
*You've figured out how to blow raspberries with your tongue and your favorite time to do it is when you have a mouth full of baby food! Uggh.
*You still love Bob and Larry and the whole Veggie Tales crew, but we recently started introducing the baby sign language DVDs and you seem to really like those too.
*You're really good at putting your paci in, but 99% of the time, you put it in upside down. The funny thing is, you don't even seem to care!
*You LOVE reading books and you even know how to turn the pages! Mommy doesn't like to read, so I've been trying really hard to get better about reading to you, since you seem to love it so much.
With each passing month, it's getting harder and harder to take your picture!! You wanted to grab my sign and crumple it up and play with it. I even tried to get creative and hide the sign above your head, but you found it and ripped it down. So, as you will see, I only got a few "good" shots, and then it was all over with! I finally gave up and just let you have fun with it and figured it was a good representation of how far you've come since I started taking your monthly pictures! =)
So cute, little Kyndall! AA, is she crawling yet? I can't remember from past posts? Happy 10 month birthday, Miss Priss! Love from North Carolina!!
