Tallahassee Catch-Up

I had such a busy two weeks in Tallahassee/Thomasville, that I didn't do a very good job of keeping my blog updated!  So, now I will attempt to play catch-up and update you on all the fun we had!

The day after my class reunion (Sunday), the 3 of us drove to Thomasville so that Matthew could spend a few hours with his family before heading back to South Carolina.  Kyndall and I still had a week left, but Matthew had to go back that afternoon.  We had a nice lunch with his parents before he and the doggies scooted off to SC.  Sadly, I didn't manage to get a single picture of that day.  Kyndall and I stayed in Thomasville until Tuesday, so that Nonie and Poppie could have a few days with her.  On Monday, Matthew's cousin Sarah brought her daughter Rachael over for lunch and swimming.....

Tuesday morning, we visited with my mother-in-law's friend Mrs. Staffie and her Grandchildren, Hannah and Caleb.  They were so sweet to Kyndall!

Kyndall and I drove back to Tallahassee that afternoon and made a special stop by the Jones house that night.  Doug, Lisa and their daughter Caroline have been my parents' neighbors for over 20 years.  I used to babysit sweet Caroline when she was just a little older than Kyndall.  I always say that I got lots of good Mommy practice with Caroline because I spent a LOT of time at their house back in the day!!  They are such sweet, special friends of ours!!!!

On Wednesday, I made my usual trip up to Dr. Leadbeater's office so that I could visit with all of my wonderful co-workers that I miss oh so much!  I gave Kyndall a tour of the office, and I even sat her in Mommy's old operatory chair for a few cute pictures!  Despite the fact that she doesn't have a single tooth in her head, I think she's going to LOVE the dentist in a few years! =)

Wednesday night we had dinner with my Aunt Cathy, and Thursday at lunch we ate with my mom's high school friend, Marsha.  I am so mad at myself for not getting any pictures of these sweet ladies!!  I was trying to get at least ONE picture from every "outing" we did in our two weeks in Tallahassee.  I did a pretty good job, with the exception of these two things.

Thursday night we had dinner at Panera with Aunt Kelly, Lindsey D., Jenna, Melissa and Grammy.  Again, I didn't do a very good job, but I did manage to get this one picture of Kyndall with Aunt Kelly.

Everyone knows I LOVE Barnaby's, so my two weeks in Tallahassee just wouldn't be complete without at least one meal there!  Friday we met up with my Mom and Mrs. Rose for lunch at my favorite place!

Friday night my Grandparents drove over to Tallahassee from Two Egg and the whole family went to dinner at Seinyard.  If you want some good seafood, Seinyard is the place to go!  It's one of our family's favorites!!

(And apparently it's everyone else's favorite too, as there was a 45 minute wait!)

Whew!!!  I think that pretty much catches you up!  As you can see, we spent most of our time EATING!!  We had lunch and/or dinner dates every single day!  It was a busy two weeks for sure!  Kyndall and I aren't used to keeping such a busy social schedule, so we were both exhausted at the end of every day.  In fact, I was so tired that I decided to treat myself to a massage on Saturday!  (Actually, I've had a gift card that Matthew gave me for my birthday in DECEMBER that I've been holding onto all this time!!!)  My sister and I enjoyed a couples massage on Saturday morning and it was HEAVENLY!  Oh how I wish I could afford to do it more often!  On Sunday afternoon, Kyndall and I helped co-host a wedding shower at my Mom's house for Lindsay Culpepper.  Check back for a separate post on that!!

Big thanks to my wonderful hubby who allowed me to spend these two weeks in Tallahassee.  I know a lot of people whose husbands wouldn't be so gracious as to let them do something like this.  Being so far from the place I will always call home is hard, but trips like this one definitely make up for it!

  1. I love the headband that she is wearing with the Carter's Daisy bubble....Love it! I wish that Avie would still wear them and I could get a picture in her matching outfit. They could be twins!
