Girls Day Out

Today Kyndall and I decided to get out of the house and have a girls day.  We started with lunch at Chick-Fil-A, where Kyndall earned me a free meal!  Today was "National Cow Appreciation Day" and if you came dressed up like a cow, you were rewarded with a free meal.  Goodness knows I'm not about to walk around my local mall dressed like a cow, so I did the next best thing-----I used my daughter for my own personal gain! =)  Here she is all dressed up and ready to go......

Doesn't she look thrilled???  She's probably thinking...."Mommy, you're just using me, and you're not even gonna share your free chicken with me. What a bunch of hooey!"

How cute are these little Keds?

Apparently, she was so cute that the manager of Chick-Fil-A thought she should be entered into the national photo contest.  So after signing my life away on a waver, they took her picture and entered her.  I have no idea what she would get if she won, but free Chick-Fil-A for a year sounds pretty good to me!  (And I promise I would share it with her!)  She did get a nice pretty balloon out of the whole deal, which was probably better than chicken in her opinion, since she loves balloons!

The main purpose in my girls day out was to begin the ever exhausting search for an outfit for me to wear to my 10 year high school reunion, which is next weekend.  Uggggh....I absolutely HATE clothes shopping for myself!!  It makes me ill, literally.  I despise it.  So, after 5 hours at the mall, here's what I came back with......

What????  You don't think I'll look smokin' hot in those hot pink watermelon footed PJ's at my reunion??  Obviously, as you can see, I came home with NOTHING for myself and a ton of stuff for Miss Kyndall!  Story of my life.  I just couldn't resist the awesome deals at the mall today.  The first two dresses came from Sears and were 60% off and the other clothes came from my FAVORITE kids store, The Childrens Place.  I paid TWO BUCKS for those t-shirts and TWO BUCKS for those PJ's!!  How can you pass that up??  So....tomorrow I shall return and I am determined to complete my mission of finding something to wear next Saturday.  I hope to be successful, but I'm not holding my breath.

  1. I love the pic with the caption about her not being enthused......ha ha...so cute!!! This is a cute blog. When I saw the first two pictures of what you bought, I thought they were 'short' dresses for you. I couldn't tell they were for Kyndall....nothing to compare the size to in the pic so it was hard to tell....same with the shirts.

    love,
